For those who remember the 85′ Chicago Bears, they didn’t just win the Superbowl, they made football exciting. Recently an article appeared in ESPN about the long history after football of one of the team’s most colorful figures, William “The Refrigerator” Perry and his battles with Guillain-Barré syndrome as well as alcohol. One thing that stands out in this article is former Bears coach Mike Ditka still working to help him after so many years. It says alot about Ditka and coaching in general that once you are someone’s coach, the bound is there for life.
